The Wirral Rowing Centre
The New Venue for Conferences & Meetings
The new Wirral rowing centre, home of the Liverpool Victoria Rowing Club, was officially opened in April 2004 by Sir Steven Redgrave. This marked the end of a ten year campaign for lottery funding following the loss of the club's original boathouse in a disastrous fire.
The centre is on Poulton Bridge Road, close to Penny Bridge on the Wallasey side of the West Float. It is conveniently close to the M53 and both Mersey Tunnels.
The centre has three principal rooms. Varying layouts of these rooms provide comfortable, convenient and appropriate settings from boardroom style meetings, for a small group of half a dozen colleagues, to theatre style conferences for up to 112 delegates. The two larger rooms can also be set out in cabaret style.
The Committee Room will seat ten people in comfort and the table can equally well be laid for a small private dinner.
The Bar Lounge can be used purely as a social area or set out for a boardroom style meeting for 22 delegates or in theatre style for 36 delegates catering services The Club can offer a wide range of menus from sandwiches to formal dinners.
